“Climate Crisis and Its Solutions,” by Keith Bergman

Thoreau Farm, Thoreau Society host presentation on “Climate Crisis and Its Solutions” by Climate Reality mentor Keith Bergman

“What is the use of a house if you haven’t got a tolerable planet to put it on?” – Henry David Thoreau
Join us on Wednesday, November 20, 2019, 7 – 8:30 pm, at Thoreau Farm, 341 Virginia Road, Concord, Massachusetts, as Climate Reality presents “24 Hours of Reality: Truth in Action,” a global conversation on the truth of the climate crisis and how we solve it.
An updated presentation will be made by Concord resident and Climate Reality mentor Keith Bergman. A retired municipal manager, Bergman was one of the first fifty trained by former Vice President Al Gore to give the presentation made famous by the Academy Award-winning documentary, An Inconvenient Truth.
For a full 24-hour period, Vice President Gore and Climate Reality Leader volunteers will hold public presentations and conversations on our changing climate in schools, community centers, workplaces and more across all 50 states and countries worldwide. Those who attend the presentations will have the option to have a tree planted on their behalf through a collaboration between The Climate Reality Project and One Tree Planted.
Here in Concord, the conversation is taking place at Thoreau Farm, the birthplace of Henry David Thoreau, the father of the modern-day environmental movement.  Thoreau Farm has proudly hosted several meetings of the Boston Metro Chapter of Climate Reality.
Don’t miss this great opportunity to talk about what the climate crisis means for this community as well as the solutions and actions we can take to make a difference.
