Sally Sanford to speak on Henry and the Huckleberries 
 
Sally Sanford, co-author of the new children’s book, Henry and the Huckleberries: A visit with Mr. Thoreau at Walden Pond, will speak at Thoreau Farm on Sat., May 13, from 3-5pm.
 
 
In this charming book for children, Henry David Thoreau takes his young friends, including Edward Emerson (Ralph Waldo Emerson’s son) and Louisa May Alcott, berry picking near Walden Pond and turns a mishap into a gentle lesson about nature. Based on a true story!
 
Illustrated by Caldecott Honor winner Ilse Plume.
 
This event is FREE and open to the public. Seating is limited.
