Thoreau's Stay at Walden

Join a park interpreter at the Thoreau house replica for fun and informative learning about Henry’s David Thoreau’s life and his stay at Walden Pond.

Please refer to a park trail map available at any of the kiosks for these specific locations. 

All programs are FREE and open to the public. An adult must accompany children 12 and under. The daily parking fee is $8.00 per vehicle with Massachusetts plates, $10 per vehicle with non-Massachusetts plates. 

On hot summer days, holidays, and weekends, Walden Pond often closes for capacity.

Don’t forget your insect repellant and sunscreen. Suitable for all ages!

Sundays, Tuesdays, and Fridays: September 1, 4, 6, 11, 15, 18, 20, 25, 27, & 29 from 1:00-3:00pm

Wednesdays: September 2, 9, 16, 23, & 30 from 10:00am-12:00pm
