Mark your calendars now to join in an informal discussion about Henry David Thoreau, Slavery, Abolition and John Brown at the Barrow Bookstore in Concord, MA.

Harrison Glasgow, a member of The Thoreau Society Board of Directors, will share his thoughts on the issues and lead the discussion. He will engage in a conversation to examine his experiences of trying to generate interset in Thoreau in Northern Virginia. In an attempt to organize some kinds of commemoration of the upcoming 200th anniversary of his birth, Mr. Glasgow states "I encounter little interest and even a small bit of hostility".

This is a free event; RSVPs are appreciated but not required.
